Geochin's Curriculum and Learning Approach

Geochin brings together a Nigerian foundation and an international outlook, built as one continuous path from Early Years through Senior Secondary rather than a series of separate schools.

In the Early Years, from age 2 to 5, learning is play based, building spoken language, early number sense and the social confidence a child needs before starting Primary.

In Primary, from age 6 to 11, pupils cover core literacy, numeracy and science alongside creative arts, French and computing. Regular assessment through the term is used to catch gaps early, rather than waiting for an end of year result.

In Junior Secondary, from age 12 to 14, the subject spread broadens further, preparing students for the Junior WAEC and for choosing a specialisation, Science, Arts or Commercial, once they reach Senior Secondary.

In Senior Secondary, from age 15 to 16, students follow their chosen track with the Cambridge International curriculum infused alongside focused preparation for WAEC and NECO, carrying them through to the end of their time at Geochin.

Across every stage, class sizes stay small enough that individual students are not overlooked, and teachers track progress every term rather than once a year. Parents can follow attendance, results and fees directly through the school's own Parent Portal, so a child's progress is visible throughout the term, not only at its end.

If you would like to know how this applies to a specific age group, each programme has its own page with more detail. See Programs by age and stage.
